Short version: whatever you type into this site, it keeps. Which is a name, sometimes a game, and only ever an email address if you give one. Nothing is sold, nothing is tracked, and no address is ever shown on a page.
What gets collected
Nothing at all unless you fill something in. There is no account, no login, and no mailing list. There are four things you can type into this site, and each one keeps what you typed.
Asking for a game at an upcoming meetup keeps the game, the night, and the name you put. The game and the name are shown on the page, under that night.
Posting on the board keeps the game, how many players you want, whatever you wrote about when and where, your name, your Discord handle if you gave one, and your email address if you gave one. Everything there is shown on the page except the email address, which is never shown to anybody, ever.
Putting your name down on somebody else's post keeps your name and your Discord handle if you gave one. Both are shown on the post.
Asking a question through the form keeps your name, your address, and the time. It does not keep the question. That was written to be read once, by one person, and a copy sitting in a database is a copy that can leak.
Every one of those also records the date and your IP address. The address is there to stop one person flooding the site, it is compared only against other recent writes from the same place, and it is not shown anywhere or used to work out who you are.
Where it goes
Two things leave this site, and it is worth knowing about both before you type anything.
Discord. A new board post, a name going down on one, and a game being asked for are all announced in the group's Discord, in a channel anyone in that server can read. What gets announced is what the page already shows: the game, the note, and the name you typed. Not your email address.
Email. Messages through the board and questions through the form are sent by Resend, an email company in the United States. The addresses and what you wrote pass through them on the way, as they would with any mail provider.
Nothing else is shared, nothing is sold, and nobody is sent anything they did not ask for. There is nothing to unsubscribe from because there is no list to be on.
Writing to somebody through the board
This is the one place an address is used for anything. When you send a message to a poster, your message goes to the address they left, with your address set as the reply address. They never see yours unless they reply, and you never see theirs unless they do. Neither address appears on any page at any point, and the message itself is not kept.
Taking it down
Write to [email protected], or use the question form, and anything of yours comes off the site the same day — a post, a name, a request, an address, all of it. You do not have to say why, and you do not have to prove anything beyond being able to point at what you mean.
Things taken off the site are hidden rather than erased on the spot, so that a record of what happened survives a mistaken click. Say you want it gone for good and it is deleted outright.
Analytics and cookies
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no third party trackers of any kind. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google sees that request. Box art is served from this site rather than fetched from anywhere else, so looking at a shelf tells nobody but this site that you did.
Cloudflare serves the pages and holds the database, so it sees requests the way any host does.
Who runs this
One person in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.
